Some history of the Association of control and accounts bodies of Volgograd region
Understanding the fact that the external municipal financial control in the system of local governments takes enormous significance regarding the tasks aimed at increasing the management efficiency of financial and material resources of municipalities has led to the necessity to establish control and accounts bodies in each municipality and city district of Volgograd region.
Upon the initiative of the regional Chamber of Control and Accounts together with the heads of local governments and established control and accounts bodies of municipalities on December 15, 2006 it was decided to establish the Association of control and accounts bodies of Volgograd region.
December 26, 2006 is the foundation date of the Association of control and accounts bodies of Volgograd region. The aim of the Association is to increase the effectiveness of the state and municipal financial control, coordinate activities of control and accounts bodies of municipalities in the region and strengthen the cooperation between them.
Currently, the Association unites all 44 control and accounts bodies established in the region, including - the Chamber of Volgograd region.
The Association provides municipal inspectors with the unified methodological base to exercise the control functions, provides legal and information assistance, gives opportunities for training and professional development of employees of municipal control and accounts bodies, protects the rights and interests of its members.
Since March 2009, the Association of control and accounts bodies of Volgograd Region is a member of the Association of control and accounts bodies of the Russian Federation (AKSOR) and takes an active part in its work.
